After gaining a foundation in the basics of storytelling through developing award-winning, viral stop-motion animations with LEGO, Andy turned his sights towards live action projects after falling in love with the stories of J.R.R. Tolkien and their on-screen adaptations. During high school he took a number of classes, pursued freelance work, and was involved with several narrative projects including Unbridled (2017), “Juliana” (2017), “To Die For” (2016), and his own award-winning short, “After Yesterday” (2017).
Andy currently attends Biola University near Los Angeles to major in Cinema and Media Arts (with a concentration in Production), minor in Music (with an emphasis on violin performance), and study great books through the Torrey Honors Institute.
Since arriving at Biola he has delved headfirst into further developing his creative arsenal beyond his normal coursework by interning on the university’s video team, joining dozens of other student projects, and organizing group activities and screenings. And, he is also producing and acting as 1st Assistant Director on the feature film Rubaru by Marco Zambrana that begins shooting in August, 2018.
