Director BIO: Ross Harris

looking for along the way in this feel-good, female driven comedy.

Director Biography

Ross Harris is an English director who moved to America to “live the dream”. Ross has been making movies his entire life, from homemade films on a JVC camera when he was a kid to working his way up to directing his first short. He originally started out an actor but his love for working behind the camera soon overtook his desire to be in front of it. He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.

Director Statement

I’m so happy to have this project completed after months of hard work. I loved directing this female driven comedy and feel really lucky we were able to have a cast and crew that was majority women. It was something Hannah and I made our number one priority during pre production. Women, specifically women of color, are underrepresented both in front of and behind the camera and anything we can do to work against that is a win.

With almost no budget, we were able to shoot and edit our first short film within 5 months. We faced challenges every step of the way but it’s also one of the most fun projects I’ve ever gotten to work on.

I’d like to thank all the cast and crew who gave up their time and energy to make this dream come true. I’d like to thank my wife, writer and actress, Hannah Suria. I’m so lucky to have you as my partner in life and in work.

Lastly, I’d just like to say we hope you enjoy the film. I think the story rings true on several levels and hopefully you find yourself able to relate to Anita and her journey.
