Logline: A space crew heads on a collision course with the edge of the universe.

1. What is your screenplay about?

By most accounts, scientists and astronomers describe the universe as ever-expanding, making it virtually infinite. This little ditty toys with the idea that if deep space explorers did reach the “edge of the universe”, the consequences might be more mundane than expected.

2. What genres does your screenplay fall under?

Little sci-fi, little comedy.

3. Why should this screenplay be made into a movie?

It shouldn’t.

4. How would you describe this script in two words?

Space oddity.

5. What movie have you seen the most times in your life?

With intent, I think it’s ‘Being John Malkovich’. But realistically, I’m just like everyone else, meaning it’s probably ‘Jurassic Park’ or ‘Shawshank’ or one of those other movies that can be found airing somewhere on cable TV at any hour of the day.

6. How long have you been working on this screenplay?

Literally minutes.

7. How many stories have you written?

Many features, a few TV pilots, and a smattering of short stories/poems/essays. Most of my stuff can be found at tjpeterswriting.com.

8. What is your favorite song? (Or, what song have you listened to the most times in your life?)

Probably something by Bad Religion. ‘Skyscraper’ has gotten a lot plays because I think the Tower of Babel is God’s most interesting piece of short fiction.

9. What obstacles did you face to finish this screenplay?

Having two pages would’ve been nice.

10. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?

Postulates and axioms, all the Chicago sports teams, DIY fixes that usually only last a few months, watching other people play video games, and revisionist histories.

11. You entered your screenplay via FilmFreeway. What has been your experiences working with the submission platform site?

FF works well. No complaints. I’d say it’s a little cleaner than WAB.

12. What influenced you to enter the festival? What were your feelings on the initial feedback you received?

Little festivals like this are great for getting the blood flowing, and it’s always beneficial to get your work read, even if it’s only one page.

I have not received any feedback, and I can’t imagine what it would look like if I did.
