Santiago & Jessica co-direct/write/edit. Santiago’s a first generation Peruvian-American from Brooklyn & attended Harvard University. Jessica’s background is in theater, ballet, & opera in the States & abroad. Growing up on a steady diet of Hitchcock, Twilight Zone, Lovecraft, & King, they’re rabid lovers of the thriller/horror/sci-fi genres. Their latest short film premiered at the 2017 SXSW Film Festival as one of 15 shorts in the Midnight Shorts Program.

COUPER SAMUELSON, Executive Producer

Couper Samuelson is the President of Feature Films at Blumhouse Productions and Executive Producer of Jordan Peele’s critically acclaimed GET OUT. Blumhouse, which has a first-look deal with Universal Pictures, has produced the highly-profitable Paranormal Activity, The Purge, Insidious and Ouija franchises which have grossed more than $2 billion worldwide. Blumhouse’s model began with the original Paranormal Activity, which was made for $15,000 and grossed close to $200 million worldwide, making it the most profitable film in Hollywood history. Blumhouse’s award-winning projects include The Normal Heart and Whiplash, the latter of which he incubated from a Blumhouse-produced short film to the lowest-budget feature film in Hollywood history to win three Oscars. In addition, he shepherded the critically acclaimed thriller THE GIFT which was the directorial debut of Joel Edgerton and the pathbreaking supernatural thriller UNFRIENDED which grossed nearly $35m in the US on a budget of $1m. Samuelson began his career at Mark Cuban’s 2929, where he co-produced movies including James Gray’s We Own the Night and Two Lovers, both of which were nominated for the Cannes Palme d’Or.


In the years since playing Pedro in Napoleon Dynamite, Efren Ramirez has appeared in scores of films and television shows, including leading roles in HBO film’s “Walkout” with Edward James Olmos, “Employee of the Month” opposite Dane Cook and Dax Shepard, “Crank” and “Crank II High Voltage” opposite Jason Statham (playing his own twin brother in the sequel). He also appeared in the indie two-character drama “Crossing the Heart” opposite Kris Kristofferson, “Casa De Mi Padre” opposite Will Ferrell, and HBO’s “Eastbound and Down” with Danny McBride. Most recently, you can see him in FOX Television’s “The Grinder” with Rob Lowe, the animated series “Bordertown” with Hank Azaria and Alex Bornstein, HULU’s “Deadbeat” with Tyler Labine, and in the feature film from James Patterson’s best selling book, “Middle School The Worst Years of My Life.” You can expect to see him in the upcoming feature “Trafficked” and in the new Rod Lurie/Plan B Entertainment TV show “Monsters of God” on TNT.
